otto be ashamed

Apparently Jesse "The Governor" Ventura is slammin' mad at Otto Reich after the assistant secretary for Western Hemisphere affairs publically advised him to avoid "sexual tourism" on his upcoming trade mission to Cuba. While such snarky advice probably goes without saying to the likes of "The Body," one still wonders why on earth the governor of Minnesota needs to go on a trade mission to Cuba. Is Minnesota planning to normalize trade with Cuba soon? Perhaps it is following the lead of the New England states which last September joined forces with Canada to sign on to their version of the Kyoto Treaty. Talk about States' Rights run amok!

ooops

I just realized that by stealing InstantMan's blogroll, I left out a most important blogger, namely the man himself .

Not that it really matters much, but I have made the appropriate remedy. I should also admit that I have not read every one of the blogs to the right, lacking as I do the Prof's skills of time management. But I'm sure they're all quite good. I have read a great lot of them and will be familiarizing myself with the rest as I call attention to my semi-triumphant return by magically appearing on their referral logs. Heh, heh. Helloooooo!

Perhaps this isn't so difficult

Well, that's easy to say after beating my head against the floor for the last three weeks, now that it finally works.

As you can see, I have a temporary blog roll-- stolen from the Blogfather himself. And the little bot minions of desperate African widows can find me as well.

I'm moving!

If you haven't already been forwarded there the new site: www.shilohbucher.com is up now, though still a work in progress.

Hullo world!

Have site up and I can even see it now. As it turns out the reason I was having DNS problems was that my domain had somehow come under the control of bloody pirates!

Much remains to be done. So far Movable Type has been much more difficult to use than Blogger, mainly because I'm doing it all myself. I haven't totally figured out the templates and for some reason I can't seem to get css changes to stick. But it's a start.

I also need to of course add the obligatory blog roll, but I'm currently sorting it out just to make sure it's not overly sexist. (I'm kidding!)
It's good to be back online. I have missed blogging on this overly long hiatus. Thanks again to everyone who wrote me while I was away.
