Hello, dear readers. Posting has been light the past few weeks due to holiday travels, and I had been looking forward to getting back into the old blog routine. Unfortunately, I now need to put this site on hiatus as we grieve the loss of my seventeen-year-old sister who was killed in a car accident December 30.

I wish everyone could have known my Mellie. She was always happy, always loving, and always very brave despite being quite ill from birth. I am proud and lucky to have had the time with her that we did. Our only consolation is that she was taken very quickly and without any fear. We are comforted that she is in a better place now.

Any prayers for her family and friends are greatly appreciated.
